Job Description
Established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989, OUHK today has developed into a young, dynamic, full-fledged university. We began offering full-time face-to-face programmes since 2001 and currently have about 10,000 full-time and 9,000 part-time students in the five Schools at the OUHK with about 220 programmes of studies. In addition, there are about 2,000 full-time/part-time students studying in LiPACE.

We are now inviting application(s) for the following post for the Independent Learning and Study Skills Pack in the Educational Technology and Development Unit. The Study Skills Pack involves the creation of a website and a collection of study skills materials in online/multimedia format that aims to assist students in developing their study skills and becoming independent learners.

Interactive Learning Material Writer (Freelance) – Examination skills - (190013C)

Duties
The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:
  • writing interactive learning materials about examination skills such as tactics and strategies for answering various question types: multiple choice questions, essays, case studies, etc.; and
  • providing cases and scenarios, and design infographics, interactive activities or games to enhance student learning.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following:

  • a relevant higher degree in education, with substantial knowledge and professional experience in the field; and
  • creative and innovative capacities to develop unconventional teaching and learning materials.
Applicants are required to submit a brief outline (no more than one page) on how to enhance their exam skills through the use of creative games, interactive activities and scenarios. Topic examples: How to answer multiple choice questions, how to answer essay questions etc.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on a freelance basis.
