Job Description

This is an internship position for a Spring Rotation, expected to start around January 3, 2022 through mid-May 2022 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

The Sales Operations team in the Motorrad Sales Department is seeking an intern to support the planning and reporting of BMW Motorrad Sales Operations team in the US market. In order to achieve monthly and annual retail/wholesale targets, sales operations strategically implement the needed sales incentives by vehicle, market, and sales channel. The intern will work closely with the entire Sales Department to support the analysis, forecast, and budgeting of vehicle sales incentives. The incumbent will be responsible for completing daily and monthly sales reporting and communication to executive management along with supporting incentive planning initiatives. Due to the market’s dynamic nature, the incumbent will also participate in extensive data analysis and ad-hoc reporting, and other projects with surrounding teams. Ultimately, the intern will gain invaluable insight into the company’s core business, by gaining exposure to BMW’s retail sales operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university
  • Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application (Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript)
  • Field of study: Business Administration and/or Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, etc.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Additional Skills: Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs (specifically Excel and Power Point), Quantitative Analysis, Computer Proficient
  • Familiarity with Confluence or affinity to technology with willingness to put on entrepreneurial/creative hat and eager to learn.

Preferences

  • Experience in database systems (Tableau, VBA, SAP, etc.)
