Job Overview

The CCI Intern will be focused on planning of the CCI Idea Generation Competition Event, monitoring and reporting of idea approvals, and preparing motivational internal communications to Engineering organization. Work with CCI Project Leader, CCI Team and Engineering organization to plan the CCI Idea Generation Competition Event (approximately 100 people in attendance cross-functionally).  This will involve the details of defining attendees, vehicle part focus, workshop structure, sample parts ordering, supporting creation of presentation materials, and organizing the roles & responsibilities of the CCI facilitators.  (Event is April 6th)
     
Responsibilities

  
- Create competition tracking sheet for documenting all ideas and savings that are submitted and approved at cross-functional leadership meetings (OLT) and create unique weekly communications that keep organization engaged throughout the program (April – September)




- Participate in Cross-functional bi-weekly meetings to understand how inputs from various departments are gathered for cost reduction ideas.  This is a huge learning opportunity.


- Provide Support to CCI Project Manager and team for building visual management tools for tracking idea status and determining level of risk for savings pipeline 2020 – 2022.


- Support CCI team on kick-starting Continuous Improvement ideas and GPTW initiatives.

 

 
 
- Must be a Junior or Senior status student participating in a Bachelor's Program or higher (or have graduated within the past 12 months) required
- GPA of 3.0 or higher required
- Experience using Microsoft Suite skills: Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
- Ability to transition and prioritize multiple tasks throughout the day required
- Attention to detail is required
- Project Management skills preferred
- An attached resume is required
- Must be available between January 2020 - June 2020
