Job Description

This is an internship position for a Spring Rotation, expected to start around January 3, 2022 through mid-May 2022 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

The Corporate & Special Sales Department (CSS) manages all aspects of the BMW and MINI business that are related to large corporate clients and special customer groups. This role provides a unique opportunity for an intern to support business management and sales channel growth within the team. Ranging from Military, Fleet, VIP, Limousine and Hospitality to Rental and Diplomatic Sales - this position will provide the right candidate with exposure to a wide variety of sales and customer strategies and the ability to contribute to these expanding business lines.

Responsibilities

The Corporate and Special Sales intern will support the three CSS business units (corporate sales, commercial sales, special sales) in their daily operations. Candidates will be able to leverage their respective strengths and acquired skills from prior work experiences to become an integral part of the CSS team. Projects may include:

Support of general sales and forecasting activities; maintaining program websites; weekly lead processing; fleet order specification validation; rental order updates; opportunity to improve technical data analytics and CRM skills through ad-hoc analyses of sales, customer, and market data; further development of CRM tool to better steer business and organize opportunities; creation and/or review of marketing materials for all sales channels; opportunity to automate existing processes within the CSS area; support with VIP and corporate demo management and logistics; supporting business with responses to customer and dealer inquiries.

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor (Junior/Senior) or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university, studying: Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, and/or Marketing
  • Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application (Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript)
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel & PowerPoint is key.
  • Attributes: Extreme attention to detail, flexibility in a dynamic environment, motivation, reliability, willingness to learn, ability to work independently, as well as a part of a team.

Preferences

  • Knowledge of business intelligence software such as MS Power BI or Tableau and CRM software such as Salesforce is a plus.
  • Independent project management skills: strong work ethic, and ability to meet project deadlines
