Description

BASF has been present in Singapore since 1978. The company today operates four production facilities in Singapore, as well as regional business and functional units. BASF posted sales to customers in Singapore of about €241 million in 2018 and had 606 employees there as of the end of the year.

BASF Finance Asia Pacific is set-up together with Controlling as Finance and Controlling Asia Pacific. The Team aims to increase efficiency and effectiveness in Finance through harmonization, bundling and automation while serving business needs and ensuring compliance.

Objectives of the Position

• As part of the Finance & Accounting Team, you will support various finance to accounting activities. You will have the chance to learn and understand the various roles and responsibilities of Finance and gain insights into the daily tasks of accounting, taxation and others

Main Tasks

• Support month-end and year-end closing operations
• Perform audit activities to ensure compliance and conformance
• Assist in preparing accounting and financial report
• Assist in other ad-hoc projects as and when required

Requirements

Commitment to a 3-month full-time/part-time internship (minimum 24 hours per week) from October 2019

Students of Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or of related discipline

Have interest in leveraging technology and digitalization

Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel

Positive, resourceful, proactive, conscientious and professional
