The ASM Human Resource Group currently has an opportunity for intern with educational or professional backgrounds in Human Resource Management (HRM) and/or Business Admin. The Human Resource group at Amgen Singapore Manufacturing (ASM) is seeking candidates with a proven track record in executing projects, taking initiatives to drive work improvement and working in teams. The HR intern will be working closely with the HR teams and other functions to improve process performance, increase productivity, and enhance new hire experience at Amgen.

Responsibilities for HR Internship

  • Create and maintain a directory of JD for all roles in ASM
  • Identify and create the HR workflow for each sub-function in HR namely Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits and provide sharing to the HR team upon completion.
  • Verify employee data in Workday and follow up with employees to ensure information (photos, professional profile, emergency contacts) are updated.
  • Provide administrative support towards the generation of HR documents and proper housekeeping of the documents in the HR Room.
  • Maintain and coordinate content calendar for HR events.
  • Support special events, communications and branding projects as necessary
  • Participating in departmental meetings, office events and other cultural activities
  • Occasionally work outside regular hours for special events

Depending on the scope, the intern will be exposed to some of the following topics: biologics/API manufacturing and business strategy on top of HR.  The intern will receive mentoring and coaching from management, and will have opportunities to learn about Amgen, the biotechnology industry, and develop strong presentation skills.

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 

  • 18 years or older
  • Completion of 1 year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full time Bachelor’s or Combined Bachelor's/Master's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree concentration(s) in Human Resource Management, or Business Admin
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
