Job Overview

This internship will give the selected candidate hands-on experience in logistics and purchasing. This position will offer opportunities to prepare projects from start to finish as well as give an opportunity to support all teams within the department.

Responsibilities

- Support Buyers throughout the procurement process including complex analysis, presentation development, negotiations support, supplier screenings etc.

- Support the management and organization of new project initiatives.

- Analyze and prepare commodity strategies

- Analyze and prepare supplier capabilities

- Support basic contract management needs

- Streamline department communications and focus on process improvements

 
 
- Must be participating in a Bachelor's Program or higher (or have graduated within the past 12 months) required
- GPA of 3.0 or higher required
- An attached resume is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required

- Pursuing a degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or Business Administration/management preferred

- Junior or Senior standing preferred

- High-level of proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint required

- Ability to prepare professional presentations to present business case and detailed analysis information in a succinct and polished manner to stakeholders of the organization required

- Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization required

- Experience in Logistics, Project Management, lean management and/or continuous improvement, Procurement and Supplier Negotiations preferred

- Courses completed in field of logistics and/or supply chain management required

- Local candidates preferred
