Intern, Legal

 

Location: Hoofddorp office

 

Summary:
The Legal Department plays a key role in supporting Bentley’s business in the EMEA & LA regions, which is comprised of ±1000 employees and 35 countries. At Bentley we are offering an opportunity for an ambitious student, currently undertaking a Legal Bachelor/Master study, to gain international work experience by completing a paid Internship within the Bentley Legal department. The Internship will be for a period of approximately 6 months. This Internship is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic in-house legal department and to be exposed to many different substantive legal issues, jurisdictions and laws.

 

Term: 6 months, starting as soon as possible

 

What will you do?

  • Support the Legal Department in completing supplier questionnaire forms, notarizing and legalizing documents and distributing legal documents internal and external
  • Provide support to Legal department in maintaining Bentley’s subsidiaries
  • Assisting with discrete legal translation assignments
  • Research projects/assignments eg, EU public tender regulations and Data Protection law developments
  • Supporting the Legal Department with various other ad hoc projects/assignments
  • Reviewing of physical legal files in Hoofddorp: documents have to be retained or disposed, catalogued and appropriately filed
  • Working with a very hands-on Legal department, exposing interns to various real-life situations

     

What is expected from you?

  • Currently following a Legal-related study
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office
  • Very well disciplined and organized with a high level of personal integrity
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Ability to work closely with others in a small team
  • Fluent English language ability is essential and a preference for a working knowledge of French. 
  • Other European language ability is an advantage
