Job Overview
We are looking for a candidate who wants to join a self-directed team focused on creative application development and who will partner with the business functions aimed at improving aftermarket uptime and services for dealers and fleets.  This role will work closely with the other software developers to create new or modify existing code to meet the goals of the DTNA Aftermarket uptime and service departments


Responsibilities

- Code and test new programs
- Code and test modifications to existing programs
- Create technical specifications along with other developers
- Document use cases and closely interact with business systems analysts and other developers
- Identify risks in proposed project designs
- Troubleshoot application problems and propose optimal resolutions

 
 
- Must be participating in a Bachelor's Program or higher (or have graduated within the past 12 months) required
- Junior or Senior status student preferred
- IT, Computer Science or related degree required
- GPA of 3.0 or higher required
- An attached resume is required
- NET/JAVA web programming

- Basic understanding of database design and differences between types (e.g. DB2, SQL, etc.) required

- Proficiency in SQL required

- Data analysis experience required

- Technical proficiency in relevant operating systems, applications and languages required

- A proven ability to work in cross functional/matrix organization is required. 

- Proven decision-making and problem solving skills is required. 

- Ability to work within a team environment required

- Excellent customer service skills, including oral and written (both technical and non-technical writing) communication is required. 

- Ability and willingness to take charge and lead tasks to completion is required. 

- A proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements is required. 

- Familiarity with source code management systems such as TFS/RTC required

- C# 4.5 or newer application development experience including experience with Entity Framework 5 (or newer) required

- Adept usage of web-based architectures such as MVC and MVVM 

- .NET 4.5+/JAVA 6+ web application development experience required

- Experience in program development with object oriented open systems and languages. 

- Mainframe and web-based architectures 

- Databases- MS SQL, DB2, Oracle 

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) required

- Ability to understand IT processes and work within designated guidelines required

- CI/CD software development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Python, or Kubernetes

- Microsoft Office is required
