Job Overview
We are part of TP/G1, a global Procurement organization responsible for the sourcing activities and implementation of Daimler Trucks Powertrain components for the North American market.
Responsibilities
- RfQ activities in cooperation with buyers (incl. alignment with cross-functions)
- eDocs/ Source Package set-up
- Support with tooling requisitions/ WBV tool
- Certification management: tracking and updating of supplier certificates (IATF16949, ISO 14001)
- KPI tracking
- Participation in Shopfloor/ team/ department meetings
- Sit-in in supplier negotiations
- Participate in local supplier visits
- Great opportunities such as job shadowing in other departments along the supply chain and participation product familiarization classes
- Applicant must be willing to work full-time (40 hrs) for 6 months
- Must be participating in a Bachelor's Program or higher (or have graduated within the past 12 months) required
- GPA of 3.0 or higher required
- An attached resume is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Business Administration or related required
- A degree in Supply Chain Management preferred
- Full-time availability onsite from January 2020 through July 2020 required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- Basic understanding of the function of purchasing in a large international corporation preferred
- Proficient in German language preferred
