Job Overview
The Daimler Trucks North America Procurement Department (TP/G4) is a high paced, high energy team responsible for Strategic Sourcing decisions & supporting the optimization of supplier performance on the basis of cost, quality and delivery.


Responsibilities
Production competitor Analysis for Starter/Alternators
◦Analyze standard and optional offerings for Starter/Alternators in North American Trucking Industry
Production optimization of small Powernet components (Fuses and Relays)
◦Analyze supplier landscape for basic Powernet components (Resourcing and Bundling of existing suppliers)
Production sourcing for DTNA's Autonomous Project
◦Conduct market research to identify emerging technologies and potential supplier partners
◦Support preparations for RFQ for Powernet components for DTNA's Autonomous Project (redundant Powernet)
Aftermarket International logistics project
◦Developing processes and metrics for effectively progressing and tracking international sourcing initiatives
Aftermarket Alliance management/tracking enhancements project
◦ Re-assess sequence/dependencies in project steps, document roles and responsibilities, harmonize PUR tracking and MKTG tracking methodologies/collaboration model, support identification of process enhancement opportunities with objective of providing better transparency and accountability, increased speed to launch, and reduced mis-alignment between functions
