Job Description

This is an internship position for a Spring Rotation, expected to start around January 3, 2022 through mid-May 2022 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

The intern will support the purchasing team in various purchasing projects across the BMW Group with potential to support international topics with global process partners and local cross functional teams. Some of the responsibilities are to support buyers with market screenings, pre-selection of bidders, creation of RFP (Request for Proposal), analysis of proposals, and negotiations. The intern will work independently on smaller purchasing projects. As well as, supporting and assisting in further development of purchasing processes, tools, systems and guidelines.

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university
  • Field of Study: Finance or Business Administration background preferred
  • Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application (Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript)
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment
  • Analytical, structured, and good communication skills.

Preferences

  • English (fluent, oral, written), German and / or Spanish beneficial
  • Experience in SAP systems
