Job Description

Software Technical Consulting Engineers (TCE) focus on enabling external and internal customers to be successful with Intel platforms through use of Intel Software Technology and Products. Compiler TCEs are expected to help software developers adopt our latest C++ and Fortran compilers, help to triage problems they run into, train them on our new optimizations and technologies, and feed issues and requirements into the product development team for future products.
Triaging compilers problems is quite challenging task requiring special tools (e.g. C-Reduce) to be used and skills. In this position, you will develop a tool making the process of compiler issues investigation significantly easier as the primary job function.
You will learn and use latest compiler software and programming languages (C++ and Fortran), e.g. advanced compiler optimizations and features specific for Intel Architectures, parallelization and vectorization through compilers, new programming languages support.


Qualifications

Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics
- C/C+ knowledge and experience in object-oriented programming

- Programming and algorithmic skills
- Linux/Unix knowledge including bash scripting experience
- Passion and willingness to grow with us.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Fortran

- Experience in scripting languages
- Familiarity with C-Reduce
- Experience in compiler bugs troubleshooting

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
