Job Description

RWS Looking for Swedish Intern/Trainee Translators

We are looking for Intern/Trainee Translators to join our Swedish Stockholm Team (remotely) for a 3-months contract from June to August 2023. You will be responsible for delivering translations of the highest quality and accuracy on time and within budget.

The Internship/Trainee program is designed to provide an introduction to professional translation and allow translators to grow key linguistic and commercial skills as they begin their careers in the localization industry. The program will offer training modules in translation, review and machine translation post-editing, as well as full instruction in the use of some of our company’s key technology solutions and valuable guidance on achieving a successful career in translation.

Main Duties:
• Translation from English into Swedish
• Review work of other in-house and external translators
• Understanding and following linguistic processes and procedures
• Understanding and following the specific processes of each client
• Producing quality translations within given deadlines
• Managing terminology effectively
• Using the translation tools
• Linguistic checking of Desktop Publishing output
• Linguistic testing of software, help and websites, if necessary
• Proofreading of documents, if necessary
• Providing full linguistic support for your colleagues
• Using the timesheet and work scheduling systems efficiently


Essential requirements:

  • Native-level Swedish
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure

Desirable requirements:

  • Good knowledge of translation software such as Trados Studio 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
