Job Description

This is an internship position for a Spring Rotation, expected to start around January 3, 2022 through mid-May 2022 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

BMW US Capital, LLC’s purpose is to assist in the financing activities of BMW Group’s affiliates and in managing interest and foreign exchange risk for BMW AG and its affiliates, primarily in the Americas region, and to provide services in connection therewith.


The Intern will assist BMW US Capital to enhance its digitalization profile thru the implementations of dashboards and newly designed reports. The Intern will work directly with projects related to this goal. Additional tasks will include supporting automation and reviewing the current tasks being executed within Treasury departmen from Front to Back Office. By the end of the assignment, there are clear efficiency gains and less manual intervention on the selected tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Management on the review of the current processes which involve manual intervention to evaluate potential improvements. Eg: Cash Management daily monitoring, Back Office confirmations.
  • Improve transparency and reporting of the daily cash management thru the utilization of Power BI desktop and other reporting tools.
  • Design dashboards related to the payment factory Americas metrics involving volume, number of payments, which companies have the largest participation share, etc.
  • Develop and prepare metrics related to the suspense accounts reconciliations for BMW US Capital balance sheet.
  • Design dashboards related to front office treasury activities, including liquidity, FX and IR risk management

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university, studying: Finance, Accounting, Controlling, and/or Information Technology  
  • Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application (Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript)
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Attributes - Conscientious, responsible, and motivated
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VBA)
  • Power BI Desktop Advanced knowledge

  • Python/R coding skills
