Job Description

6 Month Internship - starting May/June 2021

Digital design evaluation, communication and new digital product experiences are becoming an increasingly important part of the product development process.

As a Virtual Storytelling intern, you will work under the direction of the 3D Manager, working within the team at the intersection of product presentation, storytelling and game design. You will use your skillset in a creative way to generate compelling new design experiences. This work includes creating animations and immersive stories to communicate product context, impact, and brand values for international clients in Automotive and Product design. You will also work together to create experimental tools–ones which the Studio can use in a modular way across a number of different contexts.

Example project types could include:

•    Support in visualization tasks using Unreal Realtime capabilities, pushing realtime rendering quality to the next level.
•    Creating a toolbox of interaction scripts for VR Interaction and Storytelling (enables more compelling VR Experiences, sandbox for future projects
•    Optimizing existing VR files
•    Working on a Unreal Engine and Vred to create cinematic experiences of the products with an emphasis on markets and context. 
•    Develop AR templates for Product evaluation and presentation.

  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Masters studies or have graduated no more than 12 months prior to internship start date
  • Preferred field of study: Game Development, Animation, and Interactive Storytelling
  • Additional Skills: Unreal Engine code development and/or blueprinting, 3D Modelling software (Maya, Cinema 4D, or other 3Dmax), Photoshop, C++ / Python is a plus
  • Attributes: Responsibility, flexibility, analytical thinking, process orientation, self-motivation, creativity and proactivity, ability to work hands-on, independently and as a part of a team; practical experience in the field of game development or interactive storytelling
  • Languages: English (very good oral and written)
  • Availability of 6 months
