Position Overview: The Eaton Internship Program – Internal Audit is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity, and performance we expect from our employees. This program provides exposure to one or more of the specialty areas within the Internal Audit function. During the 12–14-week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our operations and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders. As a participant in the program, you will complete assignments that will give you the hands-on experience to get started in your career. These assignments may include assisting with financial and IT audits, Sarbanes-Oxley validations, and short-term projects within the department designed to improve Eaton’s internal control environment. After completion of the internship and upon graduation, your experience and newly acquired skills could lead you to a variety of career paths within the Internal Audit Department. Additionally, your assignments may provide the opportunity to work on cross-functional teams with personnel from other departments, including Legal, Accounting, Tax, Information Technology, Supply Chain and Treasury, allowing for a broad experience across multiple business functions. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in business with focus in Accounting/Finance from an accredited institution. Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship. Relocation is available for this position. Preferred Qualifications: Desire to gain accounting and internal controls experience. Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community. Self-motivated and a strong desire to achieve results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Position Criteria: This role may include travel (up to 10%) within a local region as determined by the assignment manager. Transportation to and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including the worksite) will be reimbursed.
