Eaton’s Corporate Finance Sector is currently seeking an Internal Audit Senior II to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location. Position Overview: As a valuable member of Eaton’s Internal Audit team, the Internal Audit Senior II is responsible for leading audits and projects to evaluate and provide recommendations over such areas as internal controls, business processes, and operating procedures. In this function you will: Leads and supervises the daily activities in the performance of internal audits and projects to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, business processes, and procedures at Eaton operations Plans and reviews audit and project planning, fieldwork and reporting including preparation of written observations and recommendations for discussion with local site management. Prepares supporting documentation for certain procedures including those with increased risk or most subjective in nature. Leads opening and closing meetings with local sites in a clear and concise manner. Produces clear, concise, and accurate support documentation in a timely way. Coordinates internal audit’s review of local management’s action plans which are in response to audit observations and recommendations. Provides valuable on-the-job coaching/training. Performs certain procedures under a direct assistance model for external auditors. Participates as a team member on one of Internal Audit’s continuous improvement teams such as data analytics, guest auditor programs, re-design of test steps. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience in audit or process/internal control No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Beachwood, OH to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Position Criteria: Good knowledge of U.S. GAAP and relevant accounting/auditing requirements. Strong knowledge of business processes and internal controls Proven experience leading and supervising the daily activities in the performance of audits or projects Proficient in Internal Audit key concepts (risk-based audits, financial audits) Proven experience in documenting and testing internal controls. Experience in identifying risks and weaknesses and developing audit procedures to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls to mitigate the risks. Proficient in English language. Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment, cost accounting, public accounting. Familiar with common Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle, SAP and MFG/Pro. Willingness to travel up to 30%. Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of supervisory experience Proficient written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly report key issues, business impact, and develop and present recommendations for improvement to local, division, and group management. Ability to lead and motivate audit teams on assigned audits/projects, including assignment of work, monitoring of progress, review of results, performance feedback, coaching, and providing on-the-job training and development to team members, to deliver expected results and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to promote ideas and work effectively with all levels within the organization to make sound recommendations, and to articulate benefits / results to Business Unit goals. Ability to influence process improvement and suggest innovative process solutions. A proactive attitude, with the desire to have an impact, and add-value to the organization.
