Internal Communications Specialist
Bentley is looking for a highly creative and passionate individual to assist in developing the next phase of Employee Experience at Bentley. The Internal Communications Specialist will be joining a team within the HR center of experts who handle the corporate functions of Learning, Internal Communications, Onboarding, Wellbeing, Recognition, and other experience-related colleague programs. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of how employee experience affects culture, productivity, and retention; and is passionate about supporting the employee lifecycle. The person in this role needs to have an employee-first mindset to support and drive global colleague engagement and collaboration through various channels that inspire and emphasize Bentley’s core values and culture. This role contributes to the design and delivery of culture initiatives, organizing global events to support our hybrid working model, creating interactions that cultivate a vibrant and engaged workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Support the management of global employee engagement opportunities that foster and support Bentley’s hybrid workforce strategy, boosting a culture of connection and collaboration of colleagues, managers, and teams
- Manage Bentley’s internal business and social article postings and communications; must have strong knowledge of O365 apps Outlook and SharePoint
- Assist in managing the corporate onboarding experience through regular interaction of virtually led activities and upkeep of the environment, content, and process
- Support the Global Wellbeing program by creating engagement campaigns, monitoring, and driving participation with colleagues and local wellness champions
- Assist in the re-development of Bentley’s corporate intranet (SharePoint) in its evolution in becoming an employee experience platform
- Work closely with the Chief Talent Officer and other HR Center of Expert team members by assisting in the development and deployment of activities to help drive participation and post-survey actions for the Annual Colleague Engagement survey
- Influence and help shape various colleague programs and communications by partnering with program owners to guide and connect to keep a consistent, impactful employee experience
- Collaborate extensively with other team members to keep high-level attention to corporate branding standards and procedures
- Use data and analytics to provide recommendations for enhancements to the effectiveness of existing colleague programs and events
- Co-manage the corporate communication and engagement calendar
Qualifications:
- Degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or closely related field
- 2 - 4 years of corporate work experience focused on internal communications, engagement, and employee experience, preferably with a technology/software company
- Strong knowledge of Office 365; SharePoint in particular
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and design tools such as Venngage or Canva
- Experience with video editing tools such as Camtasia
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong, authentic written/verbal communication skills that naturally develop trusting relationships that bridge people and teams
- Strong ability to see the bigger picture
- Keen capability to gather and organize information to understand and support the links between various people, departments, and messages
- Strong project management skills to track and report, identify risks and maintain or adjust timelines as needed.
- Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet quick deadlines
- Proactive in identifying risks/issues, providing solutions, and overcoming hurdles to drive results
- When unexpected change is called for, jumps right in and views it as an opportunity for better results
*Must provide business communication examples showcasing design and writing skillset (creative, inspiring corporate messaging).
