Job Summary:
Bentley is looking for a highly creative and collaborative Internal Communications Specialist to join our Talent Advancement Team, at our headquarters in Exton, PA. The Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing daily internal communications requests, working on department-based projects, and creating and implementing new initiatives. By building a strong understanding of the Bentley culture, the individual in this role will develop guidelines and best practices to standardize internal communications.
The Internal Communications Specialist will work closely with subject-matter experts across the organization and communication partners within various business units. This individual must be able to interact and engage professionally with C-suite level leadership. This position will report to the Director of Colleague Development and Communications and work closely with the Chief Talent Officer. This is a unique opportunity that requires a creative, energetic, positive and passionate individual to assist in the development of the next phase of Internal Communications at Bentley!
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Creation and management of internal communications and activities.
- Support and drive global colleague engagement and collaboration through a variety of channels that inspire and emphasize Bentley’s core values and culture.
- Support internal branding efforts to enhance colleague experience.
- Act as a consultant when executing communication requests by supplying design and messaging suggestions that supports our overall standards and culture.
- Manage accurate, timely review and distribution of information, including routine announcements and urgent communications.
- Manage various internal communications projects and platforms simultaneously.
- Creation and management of the internal communications calendar to support a continuous pipeline of communications and news.
- Create effective methods for tracking and analyzing communications metrics, then present findings with recommendations for enhancements.
- Research and recommend enhancements to current communication channels and standards based on industry trends and best practices to keep internal communications fresh and continually evolving.
- Partner with and assist in the development and implementation of other colleague engagement and talent development initiatives that builds opportunities for information sharing and collaboration.
- Assist in the further development of Inside Bentley (Bentley’s Intranet) to further build and strengthen colleague awareness and engagement.
- Support other departmental administrative and tactical tasks.
What You Bring To The Team:
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, or closely related field.
- 1-3 years of work experience in internal/corporate communications, public relations, or related field, preferably within a technology/software environment.
- Knowledge of Office 365 (SharePoint Required).
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Graphic development for print, web, and video application).
- Dynamic individual with a positive, flexible and professional attitude.
- Act as a self-starter with sound judgment and ability to act independently – but still collaborative.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills that naturally develops trusting relationships.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.
- Project management knowledge; ability to track and report, identify risks, and to maintain or adjust timelines as needed. Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet quick deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Keen ability to gather and organize information to understand and support the links between various people, departments and messages.
- Ability to problem solve through responsible and creative brainstorming. Role requires an ability to execute quickly while keeping the bigger picture in mind always.
- Comfortable and curious with technology and digital tools.
- Not afraid to roll up sleeves and dive in when change is needed. (Viewed as a time of opportunity!)
- Skills with eLearning design programs such as Articulate and Vyond is a plus, but not required.
