Job Description
This role will report to the PMO manager of the NAM Business Administration Initiatives organization. The mission of the PMO is to drive digitalization initiatives from DI-0 to DI-5 status by supporting process owners and Subject Matter Experts in their development of automation projects. The position will also support the Data Governance Group with assigned topics. In this role, the team member will be expected to: Engage with various employee levels of the organization while implementing digitalization projects based on standardized project management structure, Have excellent communication skills, and drive project plans for on-time execution, Contribute to the successful implementation of digitalization efforts as designed, Support work efforts in preparation of documented process flows aligned with automation projects Identify and communicate whenever blocking points arise, with emphasis on supporting resolution actions to clear the blocking point(s), Support good practice to improve team processes, interaction with supporting vendors to improve timely project releases. Responsibilities: The Internal Project Manager will support Subject Matter Experts in the development of digitalization projects, including preparation of documentation for developer coding process, management and adherence to planned project timelines, testing criteria design, and release of the project. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience The candidate must have the capability to manage complex projects with experience and skills in project management, change management, process reviews and data governance specifically related to maintaining quality data and processes that support such continuous improvements. Skills for working in a complex matrix environment are required. The candidate’s experience and background are ideally based on Business Process Engineering, audit, project management, IT, data analysis or other equivalent work experiences. A diverse background where several topic areas are covered and especially experience where organizational changes have been implemented is sought. The ability to participate, understand and recommend development that incorporates complex process tasks for automation and the ability to communicate these concepts to all stakeholders is critical. The candidate must have skills that will support his/her: Ability to engage and communicate effectively with various levels of company functional areas within the SHS matrix structure; Ability to interact with global Siemens (SHS, S’AG) teams and other external vendors to implement projects; Ability to effectively execute time management skills for handling project timelines; Ability to engage as an effective team member within the PMO group; Capable of having indirect influence to manage projects to a completion timeline; Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically, 3 to 5+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Necessary experience includes: Knowledge and experience in project management tasks; Familiarity with internal Siemens systems and software tools (SAP, CRM platforms, RPA sw, data visualization tools); Travel ~5% Experience with Office 365, other analytical tools; SAP; CRM 3 - 5+ years of Siemens or related work experience Education: BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
