Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Instructional Duties
– Deliver age-appropriate K-12 art courses (e.g., drawing, handicrafts) entirely in English.
– Integrate English language development through art projects and discussions.
– Utilize AI-assisted teaching tools to enhance interactive learning and provide personalized student feedback.
– Support the school’s IB program by aligning art curriculum with interdisciplinary themes.
2. Curriculum Development
– Design UOI and PBL-based art units connecting global contexts with student interests.
– Develop semester plans ensuring mastery of 2-3 artistic techniques perterm (e.g., watercolor, sculpture, digital art)
– Integrate AI technology into lesson planning for data-driven instructional optimization.
3. Collaboration
– Work closely with the IB coordinator and homeroom teachers to strengthen cross-curricular links.
Requirements
– Native English proficiency (certification required, e.g., TEFL/TESOL).
– Degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (teaching certification preferred).
– Experience in UOI, PBL, and IB curriculum integration.
– For experienced candidates: Minimum 2 consecutive years of employment at a single institution.
– For recent graduates: Master’s degree in Art/Education + minimum 85/100 GPA per academic subject. Preferred Competencies
– Prior K-12 art teaching experience, especially with Grades 1-6.
– Expertise in multiple art mediums (e.g., painting, ceramics, mixed media).
– Strong curriculum design skills and cultural adaptability.
Additional Notes
– Preference given to female candidates under 35, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply regardless of age or gender.
Salary & Benefits
– Pre-tax Monthly Salary: RMB 20,000-24,000 (negotiable based on qualifications)
– Monthly Performance Bonus: RMB 400
– Semester Excellence Bonus: RMB 1,000/semester – Annual Contract Completion Bonus: RMB 12,000 (issued upon satisfactory fulfillment)
Living Allowances
– Housing: On-campus 40 ㎡ private apartment or RMB 1,000/month housing allowance
– Meals: Complimentary weekday meals + RMB 100/month dining subsidy
Social Security
– Guiyang City Medical Insurance (coverage equivalent to local Chinese staff)

2. Teaching Schedule
– Weekly teaching load: ≤960 minutes (~16 hours)
– Office hours: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM (weekdays)
3. Leave Policy
– Paid annual leave: 3 sick days + 1 Christmas holiday
– Winter/Summer vacation salary: 50% of base pay
