Director Consumer ISM – Facial Aesthetics – Marlow, UK Job Summary Responsible for leading the consumer marketing strategy formulation for the Face category, building appropriate international multiyear consumer plans, and ensuring that the markets develop strategies & annual plans which reflect the wider aesthetics International Strategy. A broad scope of responsibilities comprising responsibility for the entire Face portfolio (Toxin’s and Filler’s range) as well as the cross-sector Allergan Aesthetics Brand. Manages the complex environment with a wide geographic scope for all regions (WEC, LATAM, JPAC and EEMEA) outside of US irrespective of stage of category development. Create and own the Face Consumer Category Strategy; 5 years; multimarket; category normalization & growth Focused on placing the consumer at the centre of the overall business to shape strategy Leads with agility matching facts and data analysis whilst being comfortable with ambiguity Identifies the consumer learning programme which will shape the strategy Defines the key insights and translates these into initiatives with commercial impact Participate and lead with expertise in the strategic brand planning process Lead the team which translates the strategic plans into consumer international annual plans Coordinate cocreation of the adoption of the international annuals plans within key markets Works with markets to ensure excellence in execution through consultation & mentoring Ensures the content needs of the markets are anticipated in the annual planning process Oversees the content creation especially the brand master campaigns working with consumers insights and creative agencies Oversees the continuous content production working with the Consumer Content Manager A knowledge leader & mentor, coaching consumer marketing skills in the Aesthetics division Networks broadly within the industry secure important external relationships, advancing collaboration with the Aesthetics Division through a network of senior leaders and market-based colleagues Key Duties & Responsibilities Insight development & division wide strategy development 45% Annual Plan development & deployment 30% Consumer marketing content planning & creation 10% Key member of International Strategic Marketing group collaborating and shaping outcomes with interdependent functions 15% Qualifications Education and Experience University degree in Science or Business-related disciplines Proven people management and leadership skills Substantial Consumer Marketing experience at a national & international level Experienced in Consumer Healthcare / Beauty / FMCG (international brands) Experienced in managing creative agency relationships & content productions Significant experience in digital marketing ideally both equity and ecommerce Some experience working within a restrictive regulatory environment (e.g. Consumer Healthcare sector) Solid knowledge of digital media planning & execution Experience of leading multi-market regions with categories of varying maturity Experienced in portfolio management, brand positioning, target audience management, insight development & translation into strategies of value Experienced in analytics and business acumen-based decision making A career track record of increasing responsibility and scope of responsibilities Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies Excellence in senior stakeholder relationship management Strong communication skills (1:1 verbal, written and presentations) Demonstrated leadership and excellent influencing skills Confident and professional with VIP customers Very strong planning and project management skills Creativity, problem solving, agility and ability to multi-task and to get things done Ability to work well in a team environment, multi-functional collaboration Fluent in English and ideally at least one other language Creativity and drive for high quality outputs Ability to work well in a team environment, multi-functional collaboration Ability to self-start, multi-task and to get things done Availability for frequent travel internationally (30%) #LI-AP1 Travel Yes, 25 % of the Time Job Type Experienced Schedule Full-time Job Level Code M About AbbVie AbbVie’s mission is to discover and deliver innovative medicines that solve serious health issues today and address the medical challenges of tomorrow.
