International Officer

Qualification & Responsibility:

Support inbound international exchange students admissions processes and processing

Manage contracts and other study abroad related documents

Coordinate academic mapping and completion of the approvals documentation

Act as a central point of contact and expert advice for departmental liaison officers

Set up incoming visits and support outgoing visits to partners and potential partners

Occasionally visit partners outside China to support relationship development and other outreach activities

Provide appropriate information to XJTLU partners working with the Registry and other departments as required

Coordinate and collect data and process paperwork for annual review of partnerships

Set up and support information events for XJTLU students on outbound study abroad opportunities

Support production of marketing materials internally and externally

Create materials to provide accurate, timely and well written information to outbound and inbound study abroad students

Work with Student engagement team to coordinate accommodation, visa’s and other student services for inbound study abroad students

Person Specification:

1. High level of English with ability to prepare and write high quality professional documents

2. Good organisation and coordination skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously

3. Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

4. Experience working, studying or travelling outside China

5. A good knowledge of educational systems globally

6. Ability and willingness to travel independently outside China

7. Willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends during peak periods

8. Chinese and/or other language abilities desirable
