Job Summary Eaton is a power management company delivering a wide range of products and services to customers worldwide. Especially, its Distributed-IT division is a leading provider of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) delivering reliable backup power to critical applications in IT and Industrial environments. In order to renew its UPS portfolio, Eaton is looking for a project manager in the field of hardware engineering. Job Responsibilities The Project Manager leads and manages small projects/sub-projects, particularly in the areas of deliverables, scheduling and management, monthly reporting, and budget tracking, following internal product development process (PRO-Launch, Waterfall based). He/She deals throughout the project with day-to-day allocation of work and motivating multidiscipline teams to deliver expectations. Manage project of UPS and accessories development: In the definition phase of the project: Participates to the definition and achievement of project goals (Quality-Cost-Time) in its orientation phase, matching the need expressed by Marketing with the technical-industrial capacities of the division Helps build and consolidate worldwide budgets, and performs the financial analysis of the project Translates the Marketing needs into technical specifications Participates in the definition of deliverables and risks In the development phase of the project: Ensures the achievement of project deliverables in accordance with Q-C-T goals Manages the multi-business and multi-location project team (EMEA / USA / China) with members close to markets (Marketing, Service, Logistics, Quality) and technical and industrial developers Coordinates the cross-functional tasks Pilots the execution of the PRO-Launch process for the introduction of new products Facilitates and prepares regular project reviews, including the ones to check project phases completion Ensures project reporting Helps Monitor worldwide budgets and update financial analysis of the project Helps pilot and validate the manufacturing audit when needed In the stabilization phase of the product: Helps achieve the product external quality targets Manages the quality committee and monitor product change requests, until the quality rate is stabilized Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of the product development process. Qualifications Qualifications Preferred education level: Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent (BAC +5 for French education system). Years and area of experience required: 2-5 years of experience in hardware engineering projects. Technical knowledge: Experience in project management disciplines and tools Experience of Waterfall (and Agile) methodologies Experience in cross-functional teams’ coordination Ability to articulate technical issues at an understandable level to a variety of stakeholders and across the organization Excellent MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio and Power Point skills Good knowledge of hardware ecosystem, including industrialization and manufacturing Knowledge of power electronic converters appreciated PMP certification preferred, but not required.
