We have six manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo and a third-party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. Abbott has commercial, support operations and shared services in Dublin and Galway. We have been operating in Ireland since 1946.

As an Engineering Internship Student you will….

  • Assume full responsibility and contribute as a functional professional, which will give you hands on Experience while promoting your personal and professional growth.

  • Have the chance to join different programs to help you build your network such as the Campus Ambassadors Program, Social Media Campaigns and local initiative among others.

We are currently sourcing Internship Applications across all our sites in Ireland and students. To support our diverse businesses assignments, as an Engineering Internship / Placement with Abbott Ireland could involve working in Business Excellence, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Validation, Manufacturing, Facilities, Projects, Supply Chain, Business Excellence and Research and Development areas.

What are we looking for?

To apply for an Internship position, the following criteria need to be applicable:

  • Available to commence a 6, 9 or 12 month placement from January to June 2021
  • Pursuing a third level Undergraduate or Post Graduate Engineering Qualification
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2.1 Grade in their degree course
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to be based at one of our Abbott sites around Ireland
