Lab1886, Daimler AGs innovation lab, has been searching for, and piloting, new business models since 2007, focusing these efforts around the existing products and services within the Daimler portfolio. Such innovations include new, market altering mobility services, as well as expansions of our existing service portfolio. car2go, Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy, moovel and Mercedes-Benz Rent are just a handful of examples of the innovative ventures that support Daimlers transition towards new markets in order to create and maintain further growth and profitability.

At Lab1886, you will have the opportunity to develop and pilot new concepts in the field of mobility, whilst also participate national and international projects as they progress through their incubation phase. Our current project Stationary Fuel Cell analyses the use of the Daimler fuel cell in a non-automotive use case. We are looking for a committed support within the framework of an internship.

Your duties will include:


  • Design of a possible international hydrogen infrastructure strategy
  • Market and competition analyses in the field of hydrogen and fuel cell technology
  • Participate in technical discussions with development departments
  • Responsibility for own work packages within the framework of the stationary fuel cell project
  • Preparation and documentation of top management meetings and documents
  • Research, analyze and summarize hydrogen fuel cell related updates from diverse sources

Studies: Enrolled in a Bachelor's / Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Technical Business Studies, or a comparable degree
Language skills: Fluent in spoken and written English, German Knowledge appreciated but not necessary
IT skills: Experiences with MS-Office
Soft skills: Self-motivation and dedication, teamwork, organisational and coordination skills, adaptability within a rapidly changing environment
Further skills: Basic technical understanding and general interest in future-oriented topics such as hydrogen and alternative power Generation is a benefit, understanding of business administration and/or innovation management is desirable
