Job Description

Daimler's innovation lab Lab1886 has been seeking and piloting new business models for Daimler AG's existing products and services since 2007. These include new mobility services as well as extensions to our existing service portfolio, such as Car2go, Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy, moovel and Mercedes-Benz Rent. Lab1886 combines the best of two worlds: the backing of a global enterprise with the freedom of a start-up, a unique opportunity at a company like Daimler.

As part of the internship you expect the following tasks:


  • Involvement in the development of new Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Services and Electric (CASE) business models, as well as the development and launch of new products and services, in particular new business models related to the automotive sector
  • Get to know and insight into the international project management of the company
  • Participation on research and analysis of new business ideas
  • Participate in the design of customer journeys
  • Brainstorming and screening in addition to analyzing macroeconomic developments and technological trends to identify market potential
  • Conduct benchmarks, feasibility studies, market and competitive analysis, and create business cases to test business ideas
  • Participation on project management for projects in the incubation phase

Studies: Economics, computer science, engineering or similar
Language skills: Very good communication skills and proficiency in English and German
IT skills: Experiences with MS-Office, especially PowerPoint; design and graphic skills desirable
Soft skills: Teamwork, preparedness, organisational and coordination skills

This is a full-time job
