The IT Digital Factory produces new software solutions for the factory of the future. The objective of the Digital Factory is to develop software modules that assist and optimize the planning, realization and control of all relevant planning processes of highly automated production systems. As an intern or a working student you will support software development projects with the following tasks:

Your tasks in detail:

• ou support our research project by modelling optimization problems for the planning of assembly systems
  
• You implement theoretically developed algorithms prototypically for solving these optimization problems (for example by using existing solvers)
  
• You evaluate your results using real production data and derive improvement measures

• You are interested in mathematical modelling and optimization
  
• Ideally you have first experience with MILP and have developed partial solutions in different script and programming languages
  
• You enjoy analyzing technical systems
