POSITION SUMMARY Siemens Motion Control Business is seeking a dedicated Growth Marketing/Campaign Manager to accelerate recent market share gains. The role will be responsible for helping to drive growth of our Intralogistics Vertical Market Group that is responsible for best-in-class material handling thought leadership, hardware automation, software and service solutions to customers in the United States. The role will need to function at the highest levels of strategy development, sales engagement and marketing campaigns and development programs. RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to Motion Control Director of Marketing to assure consistency of marketing approaches and programs. Designs and executes lead generation campaigns that create sales pipeline building long term growth. Aims at retaining and bringing new customers to our Intralogistics business, experimenting with new approaches, and failing fast to quickly zero in on what works. Must demonstrate success in prior execution of same. Develops and manages own budget and business plan. Contributes to other marketing projects and may provide support in other areas. Works with other Segments (Factory Automation, Control Products etc.) to achieve maximum results. WHAT YOU WILL DO Collaborate with Head of Intralogistics to work on what specific tradeshows to participate in the US. Coordinate with the global intralogistics marketing team to have cohesive messaging in the US. Collaborate with VM Head to work on targeted advertising and sponsorship activities. Understand the Voice of the Customer and account for all aspects of the industrial buyer’s journey for the Intralogistics verticals market (actually, an obsession with the buyer’s journey) Establish strategic, integrated marketing plans ensuring clear objectives, measurable outcomes and demonstrated return on investment on select verticals Design and execute lead generation and cross-selling campaigns to increase marketing-generated pipeline Develop/adapt lead generation waterfalls to track prospects’ flow from generated lead to order completion Set targets for plans, campaigns, and tactics, providing regular and consistent feedback on performance to stakeholders Collaborate closely with multiple teams and stakeholders to map and optimize breakthrough content across the buyer’s journey. Push marketing materials on a consistent basis to the trade associations Collaborate with team help develop a site, plan for an Intralogistics showcase in of our Digital Experience Centers. Curate customer content for advocacy (use cases, press releases, references, videos, panel discussions, webinars, podcasts, etc.) Work with others for professional Content Creation and Marcom to support development and execution of marketing campaigns that meet business results. Collaborate with Intralogistics Subject Matter Experts (Business Developers), Product Marketing and Marcom to build tools necessary to win business Deep knowledge of day-to-day execution activities and results within each vertical campaigns Execute marketing tactics - including but not limited to - direct mail, e-mail blasts, print and electronic collateral development, webinars, seminars, major event management and logistics, print and web placements, press releases etc. Travel approx. 35%. BS/BA in related discipline required, advanced degree preferred. 5-8 years of successful experience in Business Development and Campaign Management with successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as described herein. SKILLS REQUIRED Business Development 8+ years of proven track record of developing business marketing programs in the Industrial Automation market. Must be able to design and execute strategies to take market share from competitors. Leverages new and existing resources to prospect, qualify, validate and ultimately convert OEM’s and End Users. Value Based Marketing Works with product, sales and vertical groups to identify appropriate product and Siemens Value Propositions (VPs). VPs must resonate with customers and become pervasive in all collateral – web, brochures, briefs, campaigns etc. Messaging Based on VPs, leads cross functional team to identify appropriate product and business-wide messages for use in campaigns and conversion activities. Uses Siemens sales, channel, and customer input to develop and test same. Closed Loop Marketing / Campaign Model Utilizes existing lead management marketing tool to warehouse customer data and implement strategies as needed to execute marketing campaign(s). Defines lead scoring methodology to assure timely follow up by channels. Modules used include, but are not limited to, e-mail server, web analytics, data mining, and KPI’s used to measure campaigns and campaign tactics. Sales Skills While prior sales experience is not required, a thorough knowledge of customer sales cycle and conversion activities are. Personal Skills Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence and persuade through credibility, integrity and professionalism. Strong collaborative approach, with good understanding of when to support and when to challenge others. Excellent Project Management capability with complex / multi-element projects. High level of business acumen required. A strong ability to influence without authority. A person who can effectively assert authority in an indirect way. Proven ability to work and thrive in a virtual work environment.
