Reporting to Global Intercompany Accounting Supervisor, Itercompany Accounting Lead is responsible for Itercompany Billing (ICB) process for dedicated Affiliate/s and coordination and oversight of all ICB activities for this Affiliate as a first point of contact (FPOC). Major Responsibilities: Coordination of intercompany billing process (ICB) for countries in scope Providing guidance to stakeholders on General Ledger account coding, tax codes etc. for intercompany billings Providing support in any ICB related queries and issue resolutions Identification and resolution of intercompany out of balances Coordination of intercompany payment process and resolution of any payment related queries Initiation and support in manual payments Calculation of data for some ICB entries Acting as focal point for process related items for stakeholders (Affiliates, FSS centers, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner and Record to Report Team) Providing BPO with a guidance for resolution of process issues Constantly look for improvement opportunities in the area of direct responsibility, but not limited to and drive implementation (compliance, quality and process efficiency) Develop strong working relationship with the Affiliates, FSS centers and BPO partner Assist in audit preparation and all other projects assigned Participate in projects with impact to ICB processes and support enhancement initiatives Prepare reports as required eg. Research & Development cross charges summary; hedging files Qualifications A driven, energetic person with very strong accounting expertise, able to act as focal point between different stakeholders, multitask and meet fixed deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or relevant work experience 7+ years of experience in finance, intercompany billing experience is a plus Pharma sector experience is a plus Strong computer skills, particular experience with Excel and SAP Professional proficiency of English, any other language would be an asset Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management Individual must be self-motivated with great follow-up skills and be able to work independently Excellent stakeholder management skills are required Ownership and strong drive in an independent tasks execution Experience in pharma industry would be an asset Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage multiple cross divisional work process and projects Experience with continuous improvement projects and practical application of Continuous Process Improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) would be an asset Travel No Job Type Experienced Schedule Full-time Job Level Code IC Equal Employment Opportunity At AbbVie, we value bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to develop new and innovative solutions for patients.
