Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds division is currently seeking an Inventory Clerk to join our team. This position is based at our Houston, TX (Pearland, TX) location. This role starts at $18.31/hr Position Overview: This position identifies and reports inventory discrepancies and problem situations. This role will reconcile inventory problems and/or processes, follow up on problems and notify the Materials Supervisor of corrective action required. In this function you will: Investigate inventory discrepancies generated by production personnel, finished goods personnel or production supervisors. Reconcile and adjust cycle counts daily. Record required information on Cycle Count and Adjustment Sheets that are used to verify information and investigate discrepancies. Perform various clerical duties, answer phones, and enter data as needed. Interact with floor personnel and supervisors daily. Assist in preparation and completion of physical inventory yearly. Assist with special projects as needed by the Materials Supervisor. Quarterly review, pull and dispose Excess and Obsolete material. Check and maintain min/max levels for non-inventoried items used in assembly. Flex into shipping and material handling as needed. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience in Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Management. Position Criteria: Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others. Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills. Knowledge of computers must be familiar with Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must have good organizational, communication, and mathematical skills.
