Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking an Inventory Control Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Dallas, Texas facility on FIRST SHIFT. Position Overview: The Inventory Control Manager will provide leadership and direction for the whole Distribution Inventory Control process within the Distribution Center. The Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for performance with respect to safety & the environment, quality, Inventory Adjustments and facilitating the Cycle Count Program. The Manager must work cooperatively with other internal and external functional leaders and managers across multiple divisions to optimize the entire D.C. processes to exceed the needs of the customer, while being relentless about continuous improvement. This manager will be developing and supporting warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, shipping, strategies, and enhancements for continuous improvement efforts as it related to Inventory Control. The position will lead the design of future state systemic and inventory control processes as we continue to deploy, improve and stabilize additional divisions. The Inventory Control Manager will need to be well trained in SAP as well as super user experience in past warehouse operations. Will be expected to establish rapport with internal and external management to ensure we are providing the highest level of support. They need to develop key relationships with IT, Customer Service, Finance, Manufacturing, and other key contributors to the DC network. In this function you will: Lead and develop direct reports that are a part of the Inventory Control Staff Develop and Deploy release strategies for Excess and Obsolete Inventory reduction Manage the day to day oversight of space utilization and bin capacity Review & analyze inventory impact from customer defect data Develop & champion daily, weekly & monthly action plans that increase, inventory accuracy & service Establish robust inventory control techniques to reduce inaccurate transactions, deficiencies, cycle count issues and manage part location. Collaborate with DC supervisors to develop slotting strategies utilizing the Warehouse Vision slotting tool to support high velocity products. Oversight of SOX Compliance for Dallas Distribution Center in partnership with Divisional Controllers. Oversight of Inventory for local pack center and flex center operation. Research and develop corrective action plans to address inventory deviations, discrepancies, transaction and location issues. Develop and analyze processes and procedures to include: Inventory levels, age, status and variances. Lead annual physical inventory administration and evaluation Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Minimum 5 years inventory management experience in a Supply Chain / Distribution Center or manufacturing environment Minimum 3 years’ experience leading direct reports 5 Years’ experience with an WMS or ERP system No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
