Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist II – First Shift

Location: Lexington, MA

How will you make an impact?

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for driving disciplined inventory strategies at the site. This role will partner cross-functionally to establish and optimize cycle count, E&O, and other key inventory programs at the site. This role will also interface with network partners to facilitate the optimal health of a hub-based raw material platform. As a key member of the site supply chain team, the inventory control specialist supports material, planning, warehouse, and scheduling functions.

What will you do?

  • Support the establishment and maintenance of inventory control performance metrics.
  • Support inventory accuracy and transactional discipline activities to achieve annual targets for Raw Material, WIP and Finished Goods.
  • Establish metrics and provide reports to highlight cycle count performance levels.
  • Maintain and report key performance indicators to drive strategic decision making.
  • Leverage SAP, various software systems, database tools, and innovative supply chain strategies to build robust analytics.
  • Organize and provide inventory, forecast, and supply components for SIOP process.
  • Engage and train employees on inventory and MRP related issues/discrepancies and make any corrective actions needed.
  • Develop and implement robust processes to include excess and obsolete inventory tracking and actionable strategies. Maintains forecasts and drives independent demand strategies designed to maximize material availability while reducing expiry and scrap.
  • Track all inventory transactions for accuracy - determine quality control standards; monitor and execute all inventory adjustments along with employee purchases and company internal uses.
  • Work closely with buyers/planners to ensure accuracy of purchasing, implementing training where needed.

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar discipline preferred.

Experience

  • 2-5 years of relevant supply chain experience
  • cGMP Experience preferred
  • ERP/MRP System Experience (SAP / Oracle)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques
  • cGMP Manufacturing
  • ERP/MRP Experience
  • APICS or similar certifications highly desired
  • Project Management
