Job Description

Support inventory-controlling team monitoring inventory processes performed by the Joint Venture partner. This includes follow-up with Joint Venture Factory Logistics and Material Handling team, support physical stock checking for productive material, ensure correct system postings necessary for accurate financial statements and close collaboration with Accounts Payable team.



Main Tasks

- Close follow-up with Joint Venture Factory Logistics and Material Handling team, in order to ensure material movements like goods receipts, gains, losses, scrap, returns, consumption, etc. are correctly posted in financial system (SAP). 

- Close collaboration with Accounts Payable team in Mexico City to validate missing or wrong goods receipts, which are needed to validate payments to suppliers.

- Responsible to monitor and clear error logs coming from logistic system.

- Support Inventory Team in monthly and yearly physical stock checks to the Joint Venture factory.

- Support Inventory Team in month end closing activities.

- Ensure that Joint Venture Factory adheres to Daimler Inventory policies and internal controls thereby ensuring the integrity of DAG financial statements.

- Support with Accounting when necessary to explain variances in inventory, also providing support for external audit (KPMG). 

- Maintains high level of understanding of systems, and business processes involved in proper valuation of inventory. .

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience



Language(s): Spanish technical and business fluent English technical and business fluent 



Work Experience: A minimum of two years in Inventory Controlling, Material Management, Logistics. 


Technical Knowledge: SAP FI, Microsoft Excel, Access, excellent communication skills. Understanding of the vehicle bill-of-material and cbFC desirable
