Eaton’s Electrical Sector is hiring for its South Dallas, TX distribution center! We are currently seeking an Inventory Controls Team Lead to join our 2nd shift team. This position is 20 minutes south of downtown Dallas. Pay is $22.50 an hour. Core hours are 10 am - 8pm Position Overview: The Inventory Controls Team Lead will be responsible for supporting the Inventory Control department for tactical and strategic engagements not limited to daily activities and short-term projects through divisional transitions into Dallas Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. In this function you will: Work with various areas of the distribution center acting as subject matter expert for inventory control. Overseeing in/out transactions of 15K SKU’s and 60K physical bin locations. Issue cycle count through SAP/ERP software on a daily basis to keep with yearly metrics. Verify inventory locations for any discrepancies, researches product discrepancies, locates misplaced product and makes inventory adjustment (Consolidates bins for optimal picking) Manage claims, verifies inventory locations for discrepancies to verify claims, and makes inventory adjustment. Review movement to determine unused items and recommend disposal of excess materials Analyze data from Eaton’s slotting tools and use analyses to optimize pick locations in order to drive speed and efficiency. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum 1-year experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment Minimum 6 Months experience with Forklift/ Cherry picker /Reach Truck No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. No write ups for performance, policies or attendance in the last 6 months (internal only) Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred qualifications: Associate's Degree from an accredited institution Previous team lead/ leadership experience Previous experience working with Eaton and knowledge of the Eaton Leadership Model Working knowledge or WMS, SAP, EXCEL and OUTLOOK 2+ years of experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment 1+ years of experience operating PIT equipment (stand up, reach truck, cherry picker) Position Criteria: Ability to teach, train and lead others Ability to operate multiple types of PIT equipment (Stand up, reach truck, cherry picker) Strong PC skills –WMS, SAP, EXCEL and OUTLOOK Must be able to learn all operations within the department Position requires high level of concentration and close attention to details Must be responsive to customer requests both internally and externally Must be able to exercise discretion and judgment Must be quality and cost oriented understanding how to identify problems and reach resolutions is required Ability to demonstrate professional attitude, solid communication and interpersonal skills Ability to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
