Job Description

■ 職務内容 / Job Description

Asset planner is accountable for managing the site based elements of global supply chains. It has both supply execution and tactical planning responsibilities with local planning focusing on securely managing the short to mid term plan within the framework of the optimal global long term product supply plan which will have been developed with their input. 

The purpose of the role is to balance supply and demand on assigned assets assuring customer service whilst optimizing site capacity usage and inventory within the given supply chain tactical plan framework, fully representing the sites commitments to the global supply chain plan.

In addition to the general description of the parent profile role for this job function, the following summarize key result areas, specific accountabilities and / or tasks, etc. associated with this job title:

1) Planning Design:-
Accountable for designing and agreeing the Planning Design in accordance with the Supply Chain Blue Print and Global Supply Planning standards
•    Including formal process with PET to agree scheduling rules and constraints i.e. preferred sequence, production rates, changeover times, other planning relevant constraints (e.g. Labour, Suppliers).
•    Including formal process with GSP’s and upstream/downstream Asset Planners to agree location and sizing of stock pockets.
•    Including formal processes with GSP’s to sign off on make frequency / minimum make quantities.
•    Including formal sign off with PET leaders and senior site managers to the agreed design; the expectation is this should be built into site cost and performance targets.
•    Including delivery of Site Business Improvement Plans and 3Vs initiatives.

2)    Monthly Renewal (Pre S&OP):-
Accountable for setting up and leading a robust monthly review process (Pre S&OP) that validates there is a feasible and optimal supply plan vs. the agreed design based on the latest view of demand (as in APO on WD11).

Accountable to ensure they have the right information / internal sign offs to validate the plan and this is visible in APO. Includes the following activities:-

•    Validate short term planning outlook is meeting service and inventory targets (0-3 months)
•    Validate ongoing production performance is in line with agreed planning design and  master data standards in APO (rates/routings) are accurate and current
•    Ensure all significant planned events (that effect capacity /inventory projections) are built into APO including shutdowns, stock builds, asset transfers etc.
•    Ensure where applicable the correct balancing of multiple flavours of API in the APO supply plan
•    Formal sign off with the PET on latest view of the plan including assumptions and agreed mitigations to achieve a balanced plan

3)    Monthly Product S&OP
The Asset Planner plays a key role in the monthly PS&OP and is accountable for:-

Representing their site / assets in the monthly Product S&OP meetings.
•    Providing timely and complete inputs using the standard templates.  
•    Providing context and narrative to support the standard template inputs.
•    Flagging assumptions and risks and explaining the impact these have on the e2e supply chain. 
•    Formally escalating issues where the supply plan cannot be balanced with local solutions and working collaboratively with the GSP, MCAM’s and other sites to agree a way forward. 

4)    Inventory Management and Forecasting.
Inventory Actuals – Accountable Portfolio
•    Accountable for variance analysis of inventory Actuals vs Phased Budget / RBU / ABU, reported through Days Cover, Stock Tolerance and statutory reporting, providing commentary and Root Cause Analysis. 
•    Accountable portfolio includes VMI Finished Packs in Market as well as site inventory.

Phased Budget / ABU / RBU / Business Plan submission
•    Accountable to provide Inventory forecast volumes / Days Cover / Lead times for all site Inventory, and VMI Managed Finished Pack in Market, driven through SMT & Bulk sizing.
•    Accountable to validate site planning parameters for all CMI finished packs in Market.
•    Accountable for providing production volumes and site Capacity planning data in line with Global standards / timelines / formats.

5)    Key Performance Indicators.
•    Asset Capacity & Loading
•    Manufacturing Lead Time
•    Plan Adherence Packaging

6)    Process Improvement
In order to utilize the assets at their maximum efficiency and effectiveness, product mix, planning method, etc., have to be reviewed periodically.

7)    Master Data Management
Maintain integrity and accuracy for relevant master data for the assigned assets and associated products and is aligned to the Global standard format.  Total coordination for the interfaced systems including Compass MDM, AMICUS/SCORE, etc.

8)    Super User role
1st line support to end users for system usage and issues resolution
Delivers end user training, approves changes to training material
Identifies opportunities for further system exploitation or improvements 
•    Conduct activities and interactions consistent with Company values and in compliance with the Code of Conduct and supporting Policies and Standards relevant to your role.  Complete all required training on the AZ Code of Conduct and supporting Policies and Standards on time.   Report potential issues of non-compliance.

•    3-5 years in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning)
•    Advanced supply chain (capacity and inventory) planning skills

•    Understanding of different supply methods (IRL, VMI/CMI, Flow, Kanban)
•    Understanding of 3-5 years in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning)

•    Education requirements: A degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Sciences or Engineering is preferred, equivalent experience will be taken into account.
•    Experience in participating in the S&OP process
•    Commercial experience is a plus
•    SAP ERP (MRP) knowledge
