We are looking to hire a ‘Business Analyst’ who would work on research/consulting projects of varying complexities for our clients (ranging from simple data-collection-intensive to data-analysis/insights-intensive projects) focusing on a variety of industries.

Description of Role

? Understanding clients requirements (what needs to be done and how), under the guidance of a project manager

? Conducting extensive research on a variety of research/consulting projects

a. Developing knowledge of research topic

b. Data collection – primary and secondary

c. Data collation and analysis

d. Data presentation in English

e. Paying attention to details

? Participating-in brainstorming sessions for problem structuring, issue analysis & decision tree analysis, hypothesis building & validation, development of insights and recommendations (throughout the project)

? Participating in client communication (including both telephone and face-to-face discussions) throughout project lifecycle

? Ensuring perfect delivery on tasks as allocated

Expected Qualifications & Skills

? Language skills (verbal and written):

a.Fluent English skills

b.Excellent Japanese speaker

? Degree (bachelors and/or masters degree or equivalent)

? 0-2 years of experience in market/business research and/or consulting roles; should have experience in working on a variety of assignments (market entry/expansion studies; in-depth industry reports; supply chain studies; etc.)

? High confidence

? Ability to learn problem structuring, issue/decision tree analysis, hypotheses development and validation will be a plus

? Knowledge of different cultures and ability to work in an international environment

? Exceptional learning capabilities and a good work ethic

? Should be ready to work in a demanding and intellectually stimulating environment

? Excellent MS Office skills

? Excellent time management skills

? Positive attitude and solution orientation – people who only identify problems need not apply, we look for people who not only identify problems but also offer solutions
