Our client, a reputable Japanese multi-media publisher, is seeking for a high-calibre editor to join their team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

• Travel and conduct interview in Japan, write and edit both editorial and advertorial articles in Chinese
• Translate articles from Japanese to Chinese, vice versa
• Research and provide ideas for editorial team
• Manage website and social media accounts
• Work with sales & alliance marketing team for various campaigns, events, etc
• Build and maintain long term relationship with readers, such as brainstorm new ideas for readers’ questionnaire and develop readers’ club
• Maintain good relationship with internal and external parties
• Handle ad hoc assignments as required

Requirements:

• Tertiary educated or above
• 2 years or above experience in print or digital media, preferably in travel or lifestyle. Potential candidates with less experience will also be considered
• A Japan-lover and keep abreast of Japanese trends on lifestyle and travel
• Knowledge in photography or design is a definite advantage
• Experience in handling social media accounts is a plus
• Proficient in Chinese creative writing
• Good commands in both written and spoken Japanese (must JLPT 2 or above)
• Proactive, independent and able to work under pressure and overtime
• Well organized and detail minded
• Can-do attitude and be a good team player
