About The Role:
By providing industry-leading technologies and the most advanced translation methodologies, we always keep our clients ahead of the curve. These tools enable us to deliver our clients their products translated and adjusted to specific markets and countries so billions of people can use them in their native language. By our clients, we mean the world’s leading companies from Silicon Valley (today's biggest IT giants). Right now we are looking for a Java developer (contractor) who will become a part of a small team who takes care of extending Camunda platform to support workflow automation of our internal processes. The team is based in our new, modern offices in Vlnena Office Park in Brno.

Responsibilities: 

• You will be working on custom extensions for a workflow management platform Camunda (https://camunda.com/), and system integrations through messaging technology RabbitMQ (https://www.rabbitmq.com/).
• Development of new features modern development principles.
• We do not expect any front-end development in this area.
• Code reviews and knowledge-sharing, learning from other senior developers.
• This project requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment and cooperate with other team members who partially work from home and also other team members or colleagues from a wider team.
• As this is a centralized solution for the whole company, you will communicate with extended teams who are consumers of the platform.
• Have responsibility of the platform end-to-end: from developing, building, deploying, improving deployment environments, managing and improving CI/CD, monitoring health of the platform and responding to alerts.

The Challenge: You will be working on an important, high-performing solution - we are constantly improving the solution by adding new or improving existing features with high performance in mind. We also expect some maintenance work (refactoring code, fixing bugs), some research, prototyping and validation of new concepts with our platform users, support of the platform onboarding into new teams.

Supporting you: A multilingual team of Tech team lead, Java developer (Camunda expert), Software Quality Assurance engineer & Product manager. Team work is organized using Scrum methodology.

Requirements: 

• You are able to write clean, reusable, testable and maintainable Java code
• Skills: good understanding of concurrency programming; asynchronous architecture; messaging; knowledge of logging and tracing principles in distributed systems; principles of microservices architecture
• Technologies: Java; Spring; Spring Boot; Hibernate; SQL; Camunda; BPMN; RabbitMQ; Git
• Knowledge of basic Linux administration (bash scripts, systemd, logging).
• Experience with CI/CD, TeamCity, Docker and Kubernetes is welcome.
• At least intermediate English.
• Interest and ability to learn.
