Have you ever traveled on a high-speed train like the German ICE or the Prague metro, wondering how much software is needed to run the train? How the software works together with the brakes, doors or lighting? A train is a complex multilayer system, composed of mechanical engineering (body of the train), Train Control responsible for the safe operation of the train and Train IT responsible for passenger comfort and train management. For developing and documenting Train Control systems, we are using the customized SysML modeling tool MagicDraw which allows train engineers to visually represent the system, validate their design, generate code for programmable circuits and provide documentation for different stakeholders. We are looking for a Java developer who would help the current team further develop this modeling toolset and enable Train Control engineers to deliver train solutions. What will be your challenge? Develop R&D engineering tools for modeling trains Analyze change requests, clarify and discuss requirements with stakeholders Design, implement, test and support software components in Java and Xtend. Extend the meta models using SysML and EMF What skills and qualifications should you ideally have to become part of our team? 1+ year professional experience as Java developer Experience with unit test frameworks Experience with Maven, Jenkins, and Git or Subversion Proficiency in English – at our company, you will use it on daily basis This would set you apart from other candidates: Experience with functional programming like in Xtend or Scala Knowledge of any UML tool or experience as SW analyst German language What can you look forward to with us?
