What you’ll do

Java Support Jr is responsible for providing input into the design, development and operational support of the line of business and project-specific data applications.

Essential Skills:

  • 2 to 5 years of prior experience in application support and maintenance (L2/L3 support)
  • Exposure to ITIL Framework, understanding of incident, problem, change and release management process
  • Any DB skills like SQL, Amazon Redshift, Oracle.
  • Bug-fix and development experience on web and/or standalone applications built on Java/J2EE technologies. Not advanced knowledge is required.
  • Understanding of Java concepts, experience practicing Java troubleshooting and/or Java reading code.
  • Familiarized with Java development and code understanding.
  • Basic understanding of Java Web Services.
  • Experience working on IT Service management tools like Service Now, Remedy or Service Manager
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups and applications

Soft Skills

  • Keen to acquire new skills and work on new technology products.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment .
  • Logical mind with keen analytical skills.
  • Clear and concise communication, written and verbal.
  • Advanced English Level.
  • Ability to respond well to pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across team boundaries.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead/manage discussions with varied levels of management and engineers.
  • Good influence, negotiation, and presentation skills is a plus.
