Job Description
Eaton’s VGNA division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Junior Eng to join our team. This position is based at our Aguascalientes Valve facility. The Manufacturing Junior Eng is responsible for maintain, improve, integrate, and support the system infrastructure throughout the plant to improve performance and provide real time information to management to support business decision. Liaison between supplier and user to maximize system performance including system accuracy, performance and uptime. Evaluate upgrades of technology to ensure that the benefits are consistent with the costs. Some activities related with the position will be: Analyze problems and supervise corrections related to machine capability and production rates (OEE). Maintain and improve current manufacturing processes to produce parts to specification. Provide training and support to end-users to support productivity Implements, promote and maintains a save work environment by implementing a culture of accidents preventions, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify controls and administer risk and danger in our area. Promotes the company´s vision by actively supporting Eaton´s ethics and values as well as quality polices. Motivate employees to maintains high level of satisfaction, productivity and quality through affectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channel´s encourage promote desired behaviors and results. Actively participle on champion in the continuous improvement process of the plant implement cost-saving in manufacturing to reduce waste including corrective actions to make and immediate impact to business result. Reduce high-risk priority numbers in manufacturing PFMEA´s. Champion key initiatives for the plant and utilize STW to achieve plant goals. Implement ELS tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Setup Reduction, 5S, etc. Train and inform cell technicians on current process techniques and new manufacturing concepts. Train and educate operators to optimize use of new transfer equipment. Initiate and maintain process sheets for each step of manufacturing process. Operate and make necessary adjustments to the forge press, trim press, automatic loader, automatic graphite spray system, heat induction system and all related controls Comply with the requirements of the Quality System. Champion multidisciplinary teams in activities related to manufacturing issues. Active Participation in 8D, 3R, Kaizen Participate as a team member to continuously improve operations. #LI-MM3 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly processes, equipment technology, equipment capability, basic machine tool concepts, and product quality requirements for error free final product Good decision making and communication skills Capable of multi-tasking for multiple project assignments Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications: Creativity in creating unique solutions Basic Manufacturing Process Knowledge of: Forging, Machining, Grinding, Heat Treat Plating, Assembly, Welding, Inspection equipment Position Success Criteria: Promote a CI culture, thru teamwork, standardization and behavioral coaching, ensuring a constant safety focus Interpersonal communication skills and leadership development ability Functional Competencies: Foundation Manufacturing information and instruction management Process improvement and problem solving Knowledge and use of shop floor systems used throughout the manufacturing facility Industrialization of new products by process design and implementation We make what matters work.
