This role primarily involves the responsibility of the execution of the projects that are approved through change management process in the Air Products’ Kochi facility.

The candidate is expected to have good knowledge of engineering and hands on experience in the project life cycle from engineering, procurement coordination, scheduling, material management, field construction and commissioning of various equipment, vessels, piping systems and machinery equipment. Individual to have skills to accomplish task independently in most cases and yet required to have the soft skills for multidisciplinary coordination with suppliers and external stake holders.


Job Account abilities:  

• Comply with AP’s corporate safety principles and practices as well as site specific Site Safety plan, EH & S requirements and local regulations
• Experience in preparing the method statements, procedures required to execute the project
• Consolidation of technical requirement, preparing the scope document, requisition package for tendering/purchasing to meet the project requirements
• Basic knowledge and awareness on local/central regulations such as PESO, Factories & Boilers, Pollution Control Board etc., to ensure the executed projects are complied to the requirements of these authorities
• Experience in change management process and regularizing the implemented changes to the asset data
• Technical evaluation of the offers from contractors and suppliers and experience to complete technical negotiation
• Knowledge and experience in reviewing the QA and QC requirements of the purchased items, site construction activities of the project life cycle including knowledge on codes like ASME etc,
• Contract administration and management through work permit process
• Project management of the entire project life cycle and working with Maintenance, Operations, EH&S and other support functions

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Engineering degree from recognized university in Mechanical Engineering
• Industrial exposure in HyCO plant is very much preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment and accountability of assigned projects
• Ability to interpret the contract requirements and manage Contractor/Supplier
• Good knowledge on Microsoft Office tools - MS Word, Excel, Project etc
• Self-directed, self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Ability to recognize the criticality of the tasks and prioritize the tasks on day to day basis to support project schedule, budget and quality requirements
