Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION The primary function for this role is to provide support and leadership on Quality, Product Integrity and Continuous Improvement processes and systems aimed to achieve high customer satisfaction for the Sensors Business Unit. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coordinate and lead Supplier Quality Claims and Failure Mode Investigation and Analysis; resolves supplier issues and promptly responds to internal customer concerns and requirements Provide insight and feedback related to supplier product performance to the Manufacturing Engineering and Product Engineering groups Manages the Supplier Quality procedures, systems and policies within the Sensors Plant. Leads and participates in preventive and corrective actions, including timely response to internal customers, definition of problems, creation of teams, determination of root causes, determination of permanent resolution, verification/validation of corrective actions, and definition of preventive/systematic action plans Leads reduction of costs associated with materials, processes, etc. while maintaining excellent supplier relationships and communication. Participates in the deployment and support of the Eaton Quality System Manages the incoming inspection processes and personnel. Manage incoming inspection process: developing people, ensuring WISPER is up-to-date, improving processes, and working with suppliers to resolve quality issues. Manage the process to generate DMR’s for supplier quality issues and coordinate the process of DMR’s with buyers. Coordinate buyer efforts for supplier migration/consolidation through annual image ranking process, tracking progress to migration plan, and following up on focus suppliers action items developing at quarterly supplier reviews. Assist buyers in developing quote packages to migrate business from poor performing suppliers to the best supplier possible. Manage inspection documents, including maintaining updated visual aids database, drawings, forms, ISO procedures, etc. In his assigned production lines, leads and participates in preventive and corrective actions, including timely response to internal/external customers, definition of problems, creation of teams, determination of root causes, determination of permanent resolution, verification/validation of corrective actions, and definition of preventive/systematic action plan #LI-SL4 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering 2 years of experience in the same role Previous experience in manufacturing environment (in similar position is a plus) Knowledge in problem solving tools (8D, Pareto, 5 Why’s, TRIZ, etc.) Knowledge and some experience on Quality Systems Knowledge and experience with inventory control. Some knowledge and experience with manufacturing processes (SMT, soldering, molding, stamping, assembly, etc.) Excellent written and oral communication skills in both, Spanish and English Strong computer applications skills (specially datasheets and databases); experience on analytical software tools (ie.
