Central Accounting Team, Operational Finance, RWS Group
About The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Central Accounting Team in RWS group operational finance.
The Central Accounting Team is a fairly new team created 18 months ago in the UK with the vision of improving efficiency and effectiveness in R2R through Centralising, Standardising and Automating GL processes. The team is expanding into the Central Eastern Europe region in 2022 and we are looking for a new team to be based in Cluj, Romania to support the region, working closely with our local Financial Controllers as well as centralized finance teams in the UK.
The team is process led to follow our centralised model and so we develop process experts within the team rather than being led by country/legal entity.
We have a high workload around month end where we routinely complete a large number of month end tasks and balance sheet reconciliations over 49 legal entities which makes up about 60% of the total month end for the region. This drives our resolution to ensure that we work as efficiently as possibly whilst maintaining the flexibility needed to service the changing needs of the business.
CAT have driven a huge amount of positive change in systems and process in Western EMEA as well as globally and we are looking for people to help us lead this change into Central Eastern Europe as well.
Responsibilities:
- Month end journal postings including accruals, prepayments, payroll and revaluations
- Bank payment approvals
- Post central journals for recharges, expenses, and management fees
- Balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations
- Build and maintain strong relationships across Operational Finance
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (ideally in Finance or Accounting)
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality
- Willingness to learn and an ability to adapt to change
- Enthusiastic, hands-on and proactive
- Some financial work experience would be beneficial
