Junior Business Analyst – VIE Contract

Being based in Amsterdam you will support the business analysts in various daily and ad-hoc tasks.  In this function you will have enough opportunities to work independently and to develop a wide range of skills in financial and management control.

What you will be doing:

• Follow-up on the activity and performance of the managed portfolio in the BeNeLux (daily, weekly, monthly and annual base)
• Analyse financial results (compared to forecast, budget and YoY), identify and research variances to prepare commentary for performance reviews (P&L gap analysis).
• Participate in the forecast and budget process and ensure accurate and timely submission by challenging our regional stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management and financial reporting to support the VPs Operations in their decision-making.
• Assist the Development team in the production of Business Plans for future openings and related analysis/benchmark.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis related to hotels performance.
• Involved in setting up new reporting tools for Hotels
• Work in the improvement of tools (build, optimize, automate) for higher efficiency.

Your experience and skills include:

• General knowledge of accounting, reporting, budget, audit
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and proficient in PowerPoint and Word
• Good communication skills
• Adaptability to people and situations / pragmatic thinker / commitment / quick learner
• Fluent in English and French
• Recently graduated in Finance
• Past experience(s) in the hotel industry would be a plus
• Flexible mind-set
