Job Description
Job Summary As Junior Business Development Engineer, you are responsible for identifying, developing, defining and executing the growth strategy for new business opportunities to guarantee Eaton’s incremental growth. You are responsible for establishing detailed market, segment and customer analyzes to generate a solid growth funnel as well as for supporting the development and closing of new sales opportunities according the growth plan. Furthermore, you are responsible for driving incremental sales on new businesses and business fields and for building strategic relationships with partners or potential customers. Job Responsibilities Create effective approaches to generate new business Capture market needs and requirements through VOC Understand and promote the capabilities, benefits and competitive advantages of EATON Gather and collect the market and customer needs and provide input for the Segment roadmap and strategic planning Establish and execute a solid growth plan out of the market analyzes Support and leverage Country Sales Organizations to meet business unit objectives Contribute to marketing activities including development of marketing materials, customer and channel communication, as well as trade shows and conference activities Support management with key data and insights on market dynamics, target opportunity status, and key tactics being employed to effectively capture new business opportunities Build new customer relationships and expand existing ones resulting in a healthy pipeline of future opportunities Support business development activities to generate incremental revenue Create effective approaches to secure new business Host Design Events to identify business opportunities for customer’s applications and special market develop programs #LI-AP3 Qualifications Your profile Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in the commercial and/or technical field preferred 1-3 years’ experience in product management or segment application engineering Experience in having direct contact and negotiations with customers / suppliers and key stakeholders Strong business acumen, financial background of benefit Experience in developing and executing strategies for new applications and/or businesses Experience abroad (outside EMEA) a plus Strong technical aptitude; product knowledge (including UL, IEC standards) Experience in electrical power distribution Strong knowledge of the whole ecosystem of the electrical industry Highly motivated and proven ability to operate in a matrix environment leveraging appropriate resources Ability to work in an intercultural environment Ability to adapt to changing environments (economic, products, etc.) in a quick and flexible manner Excellent communication skills What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
