You’re a qualified finance professional with strong post-qualified experience in audit, reporting and systems. Now you’re ready to join a large global company in a critical area of our business.
As part of a dynamic, global finance group, you’ll advise and support audit, reporting and system topics. You will be a key figure within the Audit and Reporting Team supporting the auditors and Clinical & Collaboration Finance with regular financial information and guidance related to audit topics.
You will also drive efficiency and accuracy in the audit and reporting processes. You will need to work with our external auditors, internal audit teams, finance, IT and other teams in multiple global locations.
This role will give detailed exposure to our core business & provide an incredible learning ground & experience.
Accountabilities
Your main accountabilities will include:
Audit Management:
Ownership of the Clinical Finance accounting policy;
Management and effectiveness assurance of all Clinical & Collaboration Finance audit activities. This includes performing our SOX and FCF (Financial Controls Framework) controls and leading and coordinating all audit activities across Clinical & Collaboration Finance;
First and main point of contact for external auditors, R&D Financial Controller and internal audit teams;
Ownership of the communication between AstraZeneca and external auditors
Ownership of all audit documentation and processes;
Reporting and Analysis
Balance sheet reconciliation ownership. Review and approve account balances.
Participation in local CFO calls;
Balance sheet reporting and analysis;
Ad-hoc P&L analysis and project budget;
Continuous optimization of audit structure, mechanisms and processes;
System Support
Support activities related to the management of the ACCORD Clinical Trial Accounting System;
Responsible for overall management of ACCORD system & the ACCORD helpdesk email inbox
Support for the interfaces with other Finance systems (including SAP and SAP BO);
Work with ACCORD IT technical support team to solve issues within the systems portfolio

Strong financial tools technical expertise
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills, including oral & written English
Desirable
Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team & liaising with senior managers and external audit teams
Use of / exposure to general office & financial systems, e.g. SAP, Business Objects
Experience of working in a global organisation
VBA, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI, MS Access
