This is a position for a translator cum editor with strong English writing skills, charged translating articles from Chinese to English and with a keen interest in lifestyle and nightlife for editorial writing. This is an entry-level, full-time position in Shanghai, China.

Responsibilities:

Write materials on a variety of lifestyle topics related to Shanghai, ensuring technical accuracy, editorial consistency, clarity and appropriateness for the intended audience.

Translate Chinese to English articles for editorial content and internal use.

Qualifications:

Native English speaker
Chinese language skills
Excellent English writing skills
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or related fields
Writing Experience
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team
Self-management, initiative and problem solving
Ability to meet deadlines under extreme time pressures
Ability to proactively organize and manage own work
